He Cares for YOU!

He Cares for You

Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares for you. I Peter 5:7

You’re thinking…nobody cares! You’ve been deeply hurt. Rejection, abandonment and loneliness have come your way. These are emotions we’ve all felt at some point. In fact, I often encounter folks in the workplace who confess these feelings. Their spouse moved out unexpectedly. A close friend no longer calls. They were removed from a work project or are simply no longer needed.  The bottom line is they feel devalued, unimportant, lonely, isolated and friendless…like no one cares! Maybe I’ve just described you. If so, don’t despair! I’ve got great news.

While others may have abandoned or disappointed you, God has not and will not. His care for you is deeply personal. You see, His love for you started before you were born and will continue through all of eternity. It is His desire to be in a relationship with you that He promises never to break. His feelings for you are unique and His love carries an assurance that breaks through feelings of loneliness and dejection. He promises to meet you when you call and to minister to your deepest need. The Lord is close to all who call on Him, Yes, to all who call on Him in truth. He grants the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cries for help and rescues them. The Lord protects all those who love Him, but He destroys the wicked (Psalm 145:18-20). So, the Bible is explicitly clear. God deeply cares for you and He’ll never leave you. The Lord your God is with you. He’s mighty to deliver. He takes great delight in you. He will quiet you with His love. He rejoices over you with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17).

So, how can we know He really cares? God’s promise is that if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us (James 4:8). Your workplace challenge is to open His word and ask Him to speak to you. He will. If possible, find a Christian friend who genuinely loves you and spend some time with them…if only for an hour. Be transparent and share how you are feeling. God will care for you through them. Say with the Psalmist, I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul (Psalm 31:7). Follow the steps above and never feel uncared for again. Do it for your good and for His glory.
